Paolo Nutini set for UK number one
Paolo Nutini has stormed the midweek music charts taking the No.1 spot and is on track become 2014's fastest selling album.

Paolo Nutini released Caustic Love on Monday 14 April and it is currently in the No.1 spot on the midweek charts. The final chart will be announced on Sunday (20 April).

According to the Official Charts Company Caustic Love has already sold more than 59,000 copies, which is just 10,000 copies behind Sam Bailey’s Power Of Love, the current 2014 fastest selling album.

Other new releases this week include The Vamps, who are currently charting at the No.2 position. While Paloma Faith’s A Perfect Contradiction has dropped to No.3 and John Legend’s Love In The Future has moved to No.4.

However, this week’s big change would be from Kaiser Chiefs. Their album Education, Education, Education & War is currently No.5 on the midweek charts after two weeks at No.1

Caustic Love would become Paolo Nutini’s second UK No.1 album following 2009’s Sunny Side Up, which stayed at the top of the charts for four weeks.

Paolo Nutini is due to tour the UK in May and June with dates in Manchester, Edinburgh, Bridlington, Wolverhampton, Brighton, Norwich and London. Tickets for Paolo Nutini’s dates are now on sale.
