Lily Allen remains at top spot on midweek album chart
15 May 2014
Lily Allen is holding onto her top spot on the midweek album charts with third album Sheezus.
Lily Allen’s Sheezus went straight to No.1 when she released the album last week. Following behind Lily Allen is Gary Barlow with Since I Saw You Last.
The Take That singer saw a surge in sales last week pushing Caustic Love by Paolo Nutini into No.3. Previously, Paolo Nutini’s album held the No.1 spot for three weeks.
Sheezus by Lily Allen is the follow up to 2009’s It’s Not Me, It’s You and her first album since announcing her retirement from music in 2010.
The album contains the singles Hard Out Here, Air Balloon, Our Time and her No.1 single Somewhere Only We Know from 2013.
Lily Allen is currently promoting the album with several concerts around the UK, including an upcoming concert at the Aberdeen Music Hall on 23 May 2014, and an appearance at V Festival later this year. Lily Allen tickets are now on sale for her 2014 tour dates.
