Foo Fighters confirm eighth studio album

Foo Fighters have announced details about their upcoming eighth studio album expected to be released in autumn.
Foo Fighters revealed details of their upcoming album stating that is was recorded in eight different cities in America. The album saw the band travel to Las Angeles, Nashville, Austin, Chicago, New Orleans, New York, Seattle, DC and Washington.
Foo Fighters recorded the album in iconic recording studios in each city and was produced by Butch Vig.
David Grohl said in a statement that it is “a love letter to the history of American music”. Along with the album, a HBO miniseries will be aired documenting where each song was recorded and in which city.
The album is a follow-up to 2011’s Wasting Light. Wasting Light became the Foo Fighters third No.1 album in the UK.
