One Direction lose in charity football match
27 May 2014
One Direction returned to the stadium on Monday to play a charity football game at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium.
The boy band headed to Leicester on Monday 26 May to take part in The Niall Horan Charity Football Challenge; a special fixture hosted by Niall Horan at the King Power Stadium.
The game saw One Direction’s Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, along with other celebrities, compete against a team captained by Piers Morgan. The game was held during the boy’s time off between their stadium tour dates.
The charity football game saw Olly Murs, John Bishop, James Corden, professional footballer Robbie Savage and others take part. The One Direction boys lost (4 – 2 on penalties) to Piers Morgan’s team but they did manage to get their own back when Harry Styles pulled down his shorts.
The game was held in between the boy’s Where We Are stadium tour dates, which continues at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on 28 May. The tour includes performances at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium and Wembley Stadium in London.
One Direction tickets are now on sale with tickets still available for remaining dates though GET ME IN!.
