Ed Sheeran lands his first UK number one single
Ed Sheeran has scooped his first No.1 single this weekend with Sing from his second album X.

The 23 year old singer-songwriter has secured this week’s No.1 position with Sing, his lead single from the upcoming album X.

Sing is Ed Sheeran’s first No.1 single in the UK despite having huge success with tracks such as The A Team, Lego House and Drunk from his debut album +.

Completing this week’s Top 5 is Sam Smith’s Stay With Me, I Wanna Feel by Secondcity, Mr Probz’s Waves and John Legend’s All Of Me.

Ed Sheeran’s track, Sing, was produced by Pharrell Williams, who also contributes vocals to the song and stars in the video alongside Ed Sheeran. It is the lead single from X that will be released on 23 June 2014.

In support of the album Ed Sheeran will embark on his first arena tour of the UK and Ireland in October 2014 with dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow among others. Ed Sheeran tickets are now on sale for his upcoming tour dates.
