Kasabian lead midweek charts

Kasabian are in the running for their fourth No.1 album as they are currenty leading this week’s chart with 48:13.
The band could land their fourth No.1 album with 48:13 on this week’s Official UK Albums Chart. If they succeed, and they’re currently 26,000 copies ahead according to the Official Charts Company, they’ll take over from Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour.
48:13 is Kasabian’s fifth album and takes the name from the album’s running time. It includes the album’s lead single Eez-Eh.
Kasabian, who are set to headline this year’s Glastonbury Festival, landed their first No.1 with Empire back in 2006 and continued their string of No.1s with West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum in 2009 and Velocirpator! In 2011.
The Leicester band are due to return to their hometown on 21 June for a huge summer solstice show at Victoria Park. The concert follows on from their gig at Plymouth Pavilions on 17 June 2014.
