5 Seconds of Summer lead midweek albums chart
5 Seconds of Summer are taking on Ed Sheeran in this week’s race to claim the No.1 album.

The Official Charts Company reported that 5 Seconds of Summer are currently leading the midweek album charts overtaking the current No.1 Ed Sheeran. 5SOS are ahead by only 1,000 copies, which means it might not be enough to clinch that elusive spot.

5SOS self-titled debut album includes the tracks She Looks So Perfect and Wherever You Are. The Aussie band recently supported One Direction on their Where We Are Stadium tour, which included performing at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Ed Sheeran shot to No.1 with his second album, X. It sold over 182,000 copies in its first week and bagged the title of the fastest selling album of 2014.
