Kasabian reveal meaning behind cryptic words
23 Jul 2014
Kasabian have explained what the supposedly cryptic words projected during their live sets really mean.
The band have recently taken to projecting random words including ‘Canister’, ‘Voucher’, and ‘Cordial’ on the screen behind them during their live performances at Glastonbury and Leicester.
In an interview with MTV, Kasabian’s frontmen Serge Pizzorno and Tom Meighan explained the real meaning behind the words.
Tom Meighan offered, “They’re words that I use and Serge use that are in-jokes.” While Serge Pizzorno added, "The word has to relate to us growing up, so things that we’d find funny... It's not complicated or cryptic in any way.”
Kasabain, who released their chart topping album 48:13 earlier this year, will embark on an 18-date tour of the UK and Ireland in November. Tickets are now on sale for Kasabian’s 2014 tour.
