Lily Allen arrest prank backfires
Australian police are under investigation after picture of a fake arrest of the singer has circulated online.

The outspoken singer posted an image to her 4.8 million followers that showed Lily Allen on her hands and needs in handcuffs. The photo was taken at Queensland airport after her arrival.

The Guardian reported that when Lily arrived at the airport - greeted by fans and police – she asked the police to put her in handcuffs for a photo op. However, the obligation was a breach of protocol and has resulted in an internal investigation.

The image was originally posted on the singer’s Instagram account and earned over 7,700 likes before it was removed.

The Sheezus singer was in Australia to play several dates across the country. The shows are ahead of her slot at V Festival, where she will share the bill with headliner The Killers, Paolo Nutini and Rudimental, which takes place on 16 – 17 August 2014.
