Following the news that they will open for the Foo Fighters in London, Kaiser Chiefs have praised the iconic band.
The band from Leeds will take part in the Invictus Games closing ceremony which sees the legendary Foo Fighters headline.
The two bands have previously played together a number of times and are set to play a string of shows in South Africa ahead of the Invictus Games event.
In an interview with Gigwise, Kaiser Chiefs’ guitarist Andrew Whit said, “They do genuinely put everything into all that they do. Dave Grohl is just one of those genuine guys, he's quite infectious.
"You want to hang around and talk to him, he's one of the good people whose passion drives the music industry on a bit - and that does rub off a little bit, because we're quite dour Northerners.”
Kaiser Chiefs will support Foo Fighters during their Invictus Games closing ceremony performance on Sunday 14 September. The event will also include performances from Ellie Goulding, Ryan Adams, The Vamps and more.
Tickets to see the Foo Fighters during their Invictus Games concert are now available via presale with tickets on general sale on Friday 1 August.
