After details of the Foo Fighters eighth studio album were revealed Dave Grohl has discussed what fans should expect from the record.
Following constant speculation the Foo Fighters publicized that their album will be called Sonic Highways and is due for release on 8 November 2014.
According to Gigwise the Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl, said, "This album is instantly recognisable as a Foo Fighters record, but there's something deeper and more musical to it.
"I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our ‘sound'."
Sonic Highways contains eight tracks that were recorded in eight different states. The album’s sleeve will reflect this with nine different covers available to fans.
Foo Fighters will be back in the UK in September where they will headline the closing ceremony of the inaugural Invictus Games on 14 September. The concert will include performances from Kaiser Chiefs, The Vamps and Ellie Goulding. Tickets are now on sale.
