The Script land third UK No1 album
22 Sep 2014
The Script have earned their third UK No.1 with their fourth album No Sound Without Silence.
The Irish three-piece have topped the UK Official Albums Chart with No Sound Without Silence, landing them their third UK No.1 album
The band first earned the coveted positon back in 2008 with the release of their self-titled debut album. This was followed with the release of 2010’s Science and Faith, which scored them their second No.1 hit.
No Sounds Without Silence is The Script’s first full length album release with Columbia Records and was recorded on the road during their 3 World Tour, which was in support of their third album #3. The collection has been described as a prequel to their debut.
The album faced competition from fellow new releases from Barbra Streisand, who became the UK’s No.2 with Partners, and Chris Brown whose X album charted at No.4. Rounding of the Top 5 are chart regulars Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran.
Ahead of their success in the charts, The Script announced a spring 2015 UK tour that will include 14-dates across the country starting at Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro and ending with a duo of shows at London’s The O2 in March.
Tickets for The Script’s tour are set to go on general sale on Friday 26 September 2014.
