AltJ land first No1 album
Alt-J scored their first UK No.1 album with their second release This Is All Yours.

The Leeds’ band have become this week’s No.1 with their album This Is All Yours, the follow-up to their debut An Awesome Wave that landed the boys the 2012 Mercury Prize.

The group’s album came ahead of Partners by Barbra Streisand (2), chart regular Sam Smith with his In The Lonely Hour (3), George Ezra (4) and Leonard Cohen’s Popular Problems (5).

This Is All Yours was produced by Charlie Andrew (Madness, Nick Mulvey) and includes the singles Hunger of the Pine, Left Hand Free and Every Other Freckle.

In support of the record Alt-J spent September touring around the country where they played shows in the likes of London, Brighton and Dublin.

Meanwhile, Alt-J are set to play their biggest ever show at London’s The O2 arena in January. The band will perform at the venue on 24 January 2015. Tickets are now on sale for the concert.
