02 Oct 2014
Lady Gaga has scored her third No.1 album in her native US with her collaborative jazz album with Tony Bennett.
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett’s Cheek To Cheek has sold 131,000 copies rocketing it to the top of the Billboard 100. The album marks Lady Gaga’s third No.1 following Born This Way and Artpop.
Cheek To Cheek is Tony Bennett’s second chart-topping album in the US and he is also setting the record as the oldest living singer to reach the top of the charts.
Cheek To Cheek is a compilation album of jazz standards from Nature Boy By Eden Ahbez to Anything Goes. The album marks the second occasion that the two stars have collaborated after Lady Gaga featured on Tony Bennett’s Duets II in 2011.
Along with the success of Cheek To Cheek, Lady Gaga is also promoting her latest solo release Artpop. The singer is due to start the UK leg of her tour in support of the collection on 15 October 2014 at Birmingham’s NIA.
The tour will visit cities throughout the country including stopping at the capital for three shows at The O2 arena along with playing dates in Sheffield, Manchester and Newcastle. Lady Gaga tickets are now on sale.
