Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande confirmed to play MTV EMA

Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande will take to the stage at the 2014 MTV EMAs in Glasgow.
The singers are the first acts to be confirmed to play at the ceremony that will be held at Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro arena on 9 November.
The news was revealed by Ed Sheeran this morning on his official Facebook page. The 22-year-old singer posted, "I’m going to be performing this year at the EMAs in Glasgow! I hear there’s another female artist performing… She’s got a few ‘problems’ and hangs out with rappers that might be a bit ‘fancy’…"
Ariana Grande, who released her second album My Everything earlier this year, will also perform at the event which is set to be hosted by Nicki Minaj.
Along with performing at the ceremony Ed Sheeran has been nominated for two awards for both Best Male and Best UK and Ireland Act.
Meanwhile Ed Sheeran will by busy touring his hit album X around the country throughout October. The tour, which starts in Dublin on 3 October and wraps on 31 October in Glasgow, will visit Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds and Belfast. Tickets are now on sale.
