Slipknot race for No1 on UK Albums Chart
Slipknot could take the lead on this week’s Albums Chart with their latest release 5: The Gray Chapter.

In the midweek chart update Slipknot are currently ranked in second position behind chart leader Ben Howard. The singer has released I Forget Where We Are.

Slipknot’s 5: The Gray Chapter is the band’s fifth album and first release since the passing of Paul Gray in 2010. It is their first collection of new material in six years.

Rounding out the Top 5 in the midweek update is Neil Diamond’s Melody Road, Ed Sheeran’s X and Status Quo’s Aquostic (Stripped Bare).

Slipknot announced last week that they would tour UK and Ireland arenas in support of the album during January 2015 with special guests Korn.

Their Prepare For Hell tour will visit the likes of London’s Wembley Arena and Manchester’s Phones 4u Arena. Slipknot tickets are now on sale.
