Eric Clapton extends Royal Albert Hall residency
Eric Clapton has announced a further three shows in London as part of his 70th birthday celebration.

The acclaimed guitarist will now perform on 20, 21 and 23 May 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall along with his previously announced dates on 14, 15, 17 and 18.

The shows are in celebration of his 70th birthday on 30 March. Clapton will be joined by Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Steve Gadd, Sharon White, Chris Stainton, Michell John and Sharon White.

Along with his birthday celebration, the performances will commemorate 50 years since Clapton performed at the venue for the very first time with the Yardbirds.

Clapton has headlined the Royal Albert Hall an impressive 171 times out of his 197 times that he’s performed at the London concert hall.

Clapton’s career has amassed decades and has seen him become a successful solo artist along with performing in many popular bands from his beginning with the Yardbirds to Cream.
