One Direction announce UK and Ireland 2015 arena tour
01 Dec 2014
One Direction have confirmed they will bring their On The Road Again world tour to the UK and Ireland during autumn 2015.
The Steal My Girl band will perform for 18 nights around the country starting at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on 6 June. The boys will then return to the UK during September to start their arena tour with three shows at London's The O2 from 24 to 26.
The tour will continue into October with dates in Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Belfast, Newcastle and Sheffield. The tour will include multiple dates in each city.
The news was confirmed by the group over the weekend on Saturday 29 November with a video on YouTube. Tickets for One Direction's tour are set to go on general sale on Saturday 6 December.
On The Road Again is in support of One Direction’s fourth album, Four, and will see the group perform around the world in North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Europe.
Four became One Direction’s third consecutive No.1 album in the UK. The album follows 2013’s Midnight Memories and includes the singles Steal My Girl and Night Changes.
On The Road Again follows on from One Direction’s colossal Where We Are tour, which saw the band perform in the biggest stadiums throughout the world.
Meanwhile, One Direction will be in London during December when they will perform at the first BBC Music Awards. The ceremony will be held at London’s Earl’s Court on 11 December. Tickets are now on sale for the BBC Music Awards.
