Fleetwood Mac confirmed for Isle of Wight Festival 2015
02 Dec 2014
Isle of Wight Festival have announced that Fleetwood Mac will headline the 2015 festival on Sunday 14 June.
The rock veterans are the first acts to be announced on the 2015 line-up. It will be the group’s only festival appearance of the summer.
The news follows on from the band’s announcement of full tour of the UK and Ireland with original member Christine McVie. She will also be taking part in the Isle of Wight set, which will close the 2015 festival.
The band behind hits such as You Make Loving Fun and Go Your Own Way join an elite group of musical acts who have headlined the festival since it started in 1968 including Mark Bolan, The Rolling Stones, The Who and Jimi Hendrix.
Last year, the Isle of Wight Festival was headlined by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Biffy Clyro and Kings of Leon. Isle of Wight Festival 2015 takes place from 11 to 14 June at Seaclose Park.
Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac will embark on 13-date tour of the UK and Ireland from May to July 2015 as part of their On With The Show world tour.
The tour will visit London’s The O2, Birmingham’s LG Arena, Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Manchester’s Phones 4u Arena and Dublin’s 3Arena. Multiple dates will take place in each city. Fleetwood Mac tickets are now on sale and can be purchased via GET ME IN!
