Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith to perform at Brit Awards

Britain’s biggest singer-songwriters Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith will perform at the 2015 Brit Awards along with Taylor Swift.
The first performers of the 2015 awards ceremony have been revealed with global superstar Taylor Swift is set to perform with Britain’s Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.
The ceremony will see the return of Ant and Dec. They will resume their role as hosts for the first time in 14 years. The 2015 Brit Awards will be held at London’s The O2 arena on Wednesday 25 February.
This year’s performers are no stranger to the Brits. Ed Sheeran is a previous winner having bagged the Breakthrough Act and Solo Male Artist awards in 2012 and Taylor Swift has previously been nominated for International Breakthrough Act and Female Solo Artist.
Meanwhile, Sam Smith landed the Critics’ Choice Award at the 2014 ceremony. Proving he was worthy of the title he has gone on to enjoy huge success with his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, and landed six Grammy Award nominations.
Ed Sheeran has also enjoyed his most successful year that has seen his second album X lead the UK Albums Chart for 10 weeks. The singer will also perform three headline shows at London’s Wembley Stadium during July.
Shake It Off singer Taylor Swift released her fifth album 1989 earlier this year. The collection was a success leading the charts in multiple countries. The album also sold over 1.28 million copies during the first week of release in US, making her the only artist to have three albums sell over one million copies.
