Queen and Adam Lambert have received rave reviews for their performance that rang in the New Year.
Over 12 million people were reported to have tuned in to watch Queen and Adam Lambert’s gig, which was held in London to celebrate the New Year.
The Queen + Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live concert was broadcast live on BBC One and saw the group play a set that included their most iconic hits from Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody to We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions.
The concert also silenced any doubt critics may have had about Adam Lambert being able to fill the shoes of original frontman Freddie Mercury.
Adam Lambert skyrocketed in popularity becoming the most searched for term on Google for 24 hours after the gig. He was also a favourite on Twitter, trending throughout the show, according to Entertianment Focus.
The gig took place just weeks ahead of their UK tour, which kicks off in Newcastle on 13 January. Their tour will visit Glasgow, London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, London, Liverpool and Sheffield throughout January and February. Tickets are now on sale can be purchased here.
