One Direction return to recording studio for fifth album

One Direction have returned to the recording studio to start work on their fifth album.
The group, who start their UK and Ireland tour in June, have started work on their next release, reported the Metro. The album is expected to be released in time for Christmas.
The collection will be the group’s fifth record in five years and follows 2014’s Four. Four debuted at No.1 in 18 countries. Along with giving One Direction their fourth US No.1, the band became the only group to enjoy four consecutive US No.1 albums.
One Direction’s previous releases include 2011’s Up All Night, 2012’s Take Me Home and 2013’s Midnight Memories.
The band - Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, LouisTomlinson and Niall Horan - formed on The X Factor after all five members auditioned as solo artists. They have gone on to become one of the biggest-selling artists in the world.
Meanwhile, in support of Four 1D are set to tour the UK and Ireland during 2015. One Direction’s On The Road Again tour will kick off with a duo of shows at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in June along with including six nights at London’s The O2 arena.
