Foo Fighters confirmed they will headline Friday night of the iconic Glastonbury festival.
After bagging the Best International Band at last night’s NME Awards, the Foo Fighters revealed they will headline Glastonbury 2015.
The announcement was made via a video message from Dave Grohl. He said, "We're very thankful and very happy - sorry we couldn't make it tonight, but we will be seeing you over the summer at some big outdoor festival that nobody knows we're playing. It's Glastonbury.
"So we'll see you at Glastonbury - thanks a lot everybody."
Along with their slot at Glasto, Foo Fighters are back in the UK this summer for their tour of the UK and Ireland.
The tour will see the Foo Fighters perform massive shows at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford, London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Slane Castle.
Earlier this week the Foos revealed that Kaiser Chiefs will support the band during their concert in Sunderland while Iggy Pop, Royal Blood , Hozier and Teenage Fanclub will join them on the tour. Tickets for their summer tour are now on sale here.
The group released their eighth studio album last year. Sonic Highways featured eight tracks with each song recorded in a different state around the US.
