The Strokes to headline BST Hyde Park festival

The Strokes join Blur and Taylor Swift on British Summer Time Hyde Park 2015 festival line-up.
BST Hyde Park festival have confirmed the Strokes will headline the summer event with special guests Beck and Future Islands.
The Strokes will play their first UK gig in four years on 18 June when they take to the main stage in Hyde Park.
Confirming the news on their official website, the strokes added, “’tis true! We're returning to London to headline Hyde Park on June 18th. And we’re pretty damn thrilled that none other than Beck and Future Islands are joining us.”
Along with Beck and Future Islands, Temples, Public Service Broadcasting, The Wytches, Hinds, Gengahr, Yak and Kieran Leonard will play the festival on 18 June.
The Strokes, who released their fifth album in 2013, join an incredible line-up which includes headline performances from Blur, The Who, Taylor Swift and Kylie Minogue.
The Strokes last played the UK during 2011 when they headlined Reading and Leeds Festival while 2015’s BST Hyde Park concert is to be the Strokes only UK festival appearance of the year.
Tickets for the Strokes Hyde Park gig go on general sale on Friday 6 March 2015.
