Paul McCartney to release The Family Way for Record Store Day
In support of Record Store Day Paul McCartney will release The Family Way: Original Soundtrack Recording.

Paul McCartney is one of the musicians who will issue a special recording in support of Record Store Day, which takes place around the world on 18 April 2015. Then annual event celebrates independent record shops.

The 1967 The Family Way soundtrack will be released on 12” Vinyl. The soundtrack, which accompanied the film of the same name, was originally composed during Paul McCartney’s days with the Beatles and went on to win an Ivor Novello Award in the same year. The original vinyl went out of print many years ago becoming a collector’s album.

The vinyl will be available on Record Store Day at participating stores. Record Store Day organisers revealed the full list with other notable artists including Foo Fighters, U2 and Brian Wilson.

Meanwhile, Paul McCartney will tour the UK during May 2015. The Out There tour will include two concerts at London’s The O2 on 23 and 24 May along with a show at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena (27) and Liverpool’s Echo Arena (28). Paul McCartney tickets are now on sale here.
