Belle and Sebastian to play Somerset House concert
Belle and Sebastian will play a huge outdoor concert in London as part of the Summer Series at Somerset House event.

Somerset House confirmed today that Scottish band will play a headline concert at the venue on 18 July.

The show is part of the annual Summer Series event which is held at the renowned London venue throughout July. Taking place at Somerset House’s Fountain Court, spectators will enjoy the backdrop of the beautiful building.

Belle and Sebastian’s concert follows their extensive May UK tour, which includes two shows in London and Manchester along with huge gig in their hometown at Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro.

The tour is in support of their ninth studio album Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance. The collection, released in January, is their first album in five years and follows 2010’s Belle and Sebastian Write About Love.

The group – who are led by Stuart Murdoch – formed in 1996 and have established their self as one of the UK’s favourite indie groups with much-loved tracks including Pizza, New York Catcher and The Party Line.

Tickets for Belle and Sebastian’s UK dates are now on sale here.
