Faith No More to release seventh album in May
14 Apr 2015
The long-awaited seventh Faith No More album, Sol Invictus, is set for release in May 2015.
Fans will finally be able to get their hands on Sol Invictus next month. The group are expected to release the album on 17 May, ahead of playing a number of UK live dates.
Sol Invictus is the band’s first studio album, featuring new material, in 18 years. The collection follows 1997’s Album Of The Year.
The record is also the group’s first album since they went on hiatus in 1998. Released by Reclamation Records and Ipecac, the collection was produced by Billy Gould and was recorded last year at California’s Estudios Koolarrow.
Sol Invictus includes singles Motherfucker, which was lifted from the album in November, and Superhero.
The band’s highest charting hit in the UK is 1992’s Angel Dust, which peaked at No.2. The collection is their biggest-selling album outside of the US and followed their hugely popular 1989 release, The Real Thing.
Faith No More confirmed two UK live dates this week. The group will play shows in Glasgow and London this summer, following their slot on the main stage at Download Festival.
Faith No More tickets will go on general sale on Friday 17 April.
