One Direction to play Capital FM Summertime Ball 2015
27 Apr 2015
Capital have confirmed that the world’s biggest boy band, One Direction, will perform at Capital’s annual Summertime Ball 2015.
Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan will make their Capital’s Summertime Ball 2015 debut this June.
The boys will return to London’s Wembley Stadium to play at the event on Saturday 6 June. It will be the first time they have played the venue since their 2014 tour, Where We Are, which included three nights at Wembley Stadium and it will be their first time they have played Wembley Stadium as a four-piece.
One Direction are the start of a huge line-up for the Summertime Ball 2015, which Capital have described as their “most insane line up… EVER!”.
It will be One Direction’s first time performing at the event – previous line-ups have included artists such as Miley Cyrus, Pharrell, Same Smith and Ed Sheeran – and they will play tracks from their latest album, Four.
Meanwhile, One Direction are due to start the UK leg of their On The Road Again tour on 5 June at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium. The boys will play two nights at the stadium, before returning the UK in September to continue the tour in the country’s biggest arenas.
Tickets for the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2015 go on general sale on Friday 1 May at 8am with presales starting from Wednesday 29 April at 8am. One Direction tickets for their 2015 tour are now on sale here.
