REM are set to release new album
22 Sep 2010
REM have finished recording their forthcoming new album, the follow-up to 2008’s ‘Accelerate.’
Like ‘Accelerate’ before, the new collection of songs has again been produced by Jacknife Lee (Kasabian, Editors) and was recorded at Music Shed in New Orleans and Berlin’s Hansa Studios, the musical birthplace of legendary milestone albums by U2 or David Bowie, amongst many others.
A release date is yet to be set and it could be early 2011 before fans of the pioneering alternative US rocker from Athens’ Georgia can hear if Hansa’s past has the same effect on REM than it did on some of its previous clients.
With the new REM album on the horizon, there’s hope to see the band announcing live dates for 2011. Subscribe to our GET ME IN! newsletter to be amongst the first to hear when REM live dates get announced and REM tickets become available.
