Foo Fighters cover Queen under Chevy Metal alias
14 May 2015
Foo Fighters have covered some of the biggest rock tracks of all time during a recent US gig.
The group – who tour the UK later this month – performed a surprise gig in California earlier this week. The 18-song set saw Dave Grohl and co. play tracks by Queen, Alice Cooper, Bryan Adams, Billy Joel and many more.
Taking on the name of Chevy Metal, Foo Fighters played the small Californian festival Conejo Valley Days. The group blasted through a set which included Queen’s Under Pressure, The Knack’s My Sharona and Alice Cooper’s School’s Out, amongst many more. Watch Foo Fighters play Summer of ’69 here.
Foo Fighters will be in the UK and Ireland at the end of May for their stadium tour. The band will headline Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, Manchester’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground and Dublin’s Slane Castle.
The band have lined up some incredible support for their stadium shows, including Iggy Pop, Royal Blood and Kaiser Chiefs. The live dates are in support of their eighth album, Sonic Highways.
