Dad gets One Direction tattoo to win tickets to concert

A dad in American got a real One Direction tattoo in order to win tickets to their tour, but he was disqualified.
Roger Fraser entered a competition in Indiana by getting himself inked with 1D’s logo in order to win tickets to the band’s tour for his daughters. Unfortunately for Roger Fraser and his daughter, he was not eligible to enter.
The competition was run by an Indiana Radio station, 99.5 WZPL, and the 37-year-old dad decided to go all out. According to Billboard, other dads dressed as band members or fans to win the tickets, while Roger Fraser got a permeant 1D tatt.
Unfortunately, Roger Fraser was in for some bad news. The competition was only open to permanent Indiana residents, which the unlucky dad was not.
@roger_fraser tweeted, “got this tattoo to help my daughter win a contest well lol we can't win because we are not a resident, retweet !!!!! pic.twitter.com/X3FfXvh07k”
In the end, it was still a happy ending for the family as they went to the concert in Indianapolis. The gig was part of One Direction’s world tour, which will visit the UK and Ireland in September.
Later, he told ABC News, “"We didn't go on stage or get front row. But the reward has been all the memories that we've made."
One Direction’s On The Road Again tour will arrive in the UK on 24 September. The tour takes in dates across the UK and Ireland, including numerous nights at London’s The O2, Manchester Arena, and Dublin’s 3Arena. 1D tickets are now on sale here.
