One Direction break silence on split rumours
26 Aug 2015
One Direction confirms they are taking a break after their new album, but it is not the end of the band.
The world speculated whether it was goodbye for good from 1D after rumours started about the boys split on Sunday. Now, One Direction has broken their silence.
The boys confirmed they will be taking a break after releasing their fifth album, but it is not a final goodbye.
Niall Horan tweeted, “We still have lots we want to achieve ! Can't wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform", while Louis Tomlinson wrote, “Your support is truly indescribable! It's just a break :) we're not going anywhere !!”
However, the band did not mention any timescales, which could mean their upcoming UK and Ireland tour is their last for some time.
The tour includes a six-night residency at London’s The O2 and multiple dates in the UK’s biggest arenas. 1D’s tour, On The Road Again, starts in September and continues into October. Tickets for 1D’s tour are now on sale.
