Slipknot confirm 2016 UK tour dates
06 Oct 2015
Slipknot have announced just four UK tour dates, which will take place during February 2016.
The Grammy Award-winning metal favourites will perform in Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Leeds during February 2016.
The band’s tour will get underway at Cardiff Arena on 8 February and will come to a close at Leeds’ First Direct Arena on 13 February. The band will tour through London, performing at Alexandra Palace, and Birmingham, with a show at the Genting Arena.
Corey Taylor, Slipknot’s frontman, said, "Any time we get the chance to come over to the UK, it's awesome. Hopefully the fans have as much fun as we do. We'll be putting together a great set for them, and as we fill out the bill with bands, we hope the excitement gets even bigger."
Earlier in 2015, Slipknot explosively returned to the UK with an incredible headline performance at Download Festival.
The masked icons released 5: The Gray Chapter in October 2014. Their fifth album, it is their first after the passing of founding member Paul Gray and the departure drummer of Joey Jordison. The album is named in memory of Paul Gray.
5: The Gray Chapter landed the band a Grammy nod, earning the band a nomination for Best Metal Performance for lead single The Negative One, and it peaked at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart.
Slipknot tickets for their 2015 tour will go on general sale on Friday 9 October. Ticket presales will start on Wednesday 7 October.
