Paul Weller Dashes Hopes For The Jam Reunion
10 Nov 2011
Paul Weller hopes, he will never consider reforming his seminal neo-mod band, The Jam for financial reasons.
The Modfather believes most band reunions are purely for finacial reasons. Paul Weller's remarks come just days after seminal Manchester band, The Stone Roses announced their highly-anticipated reunion.
The Stone Roses reunion is believed to make the band members £10 million for the three sold-out comeback shows at Heaton Park in Manchester and additional £1 million for each festival appearance, such as the confirmed T in The Park or Benicassim Festivals.
Paul Weller meanwhile seems to be doing just fine on his own and is set to take part in the "Stand Up and Rock" event at the Hammersmith Apollo on 20th December. Performing in aid of homelessness charity "Crisis," Paul Weller headlines the music and comedy event alongside comedian Tim Minchin, Jo Brand and Blur's Graham Coxon. The event is hosted by Ross Noble and marks Paul Weller's final performance of 2011.
