Sting Launches iPad App
28 Nov 2011
Sting has launched a free iPad app. “Sting 25” is a stunning interactive retrospective of Sting’s 25 years as solo performer.
“Sting 25” packs a bunch and impresses fans with high quality audio and video streams, ready to be watched wirelessly on HD TV’s using Apple TV.
The content is layered and follows Sting’s unrivalled career as musician and activist from the release of his solo debut, “Dream of the Blue Turtle” in 1985 all the way to today and his most recent studio release, “Symphonicities” in 2010. The app allows fans to revisit Sting’s career-defining moments, such as Live Aid, The Conspiracy of Hope Tour for Amnesty International and his work for the Rainforest Foundation, and that's to name but a few.
An integrated Google Map displays every location Sting has ever performed as solo artist and it further documents the former Police frontman’s stops for his humanitarian activism, as well as pointing out places of musical influence to Sting.
The “Sting 25” app is available free from Apple’s iTunes and coincides with the release of Sting’s retrospective box set and his “Back to Bass World Tour 2012.”
