Leonard Cohen Unveils New Songs Off Old Ideas

Leonard Cohen is set to release a brand-new studio album at the end of January.
The new album is the long-awaited follow-up to 2004’s “Dear Heather” and follows Leonard Cohen’s live comeback that saw him embark on two sold-out world tours, while Alexandra Burke's phenomenal chart success of his epic song “Hallelujah” introduced a new generation of music fans to Leonard Cohen’s work.
Titled “Old Ideas,” the new album sees Leonard Cohen return musically to what he does best and most loved for: Dark brooding, twisted songs about love and sex with Cohen’s trademark dark but hopelessly romantic lyrics.
Leonard Cohen fans can relax; Cohen has not jumped on the latest pop fad or given in to cutting-edge studio trickery (anyone remember his attempt in the late 80’s when he tried to incorporate synth and dance elements into his songs?)
Ahead of the “Old Ideas” release on 31st January, the legendary crooner has now made two new tunes, “Show me the Place” and “Darkness” available for free on the Internet.
