Florence And The Machine Sets Fire To Her Hotel Room
Rockstars throwing TV sets out of the window and driving a Rolls Royce into a swimming pool used to be common news during the 1960's and 70's. Hand to heart: Didn't we love to read about these debauched rockstar tales?

These days well-behaved rockstars such as the likes of Coldplay and Adele follow the Health & Saftely regulations down to the dot. They might even be professionally trained at it.

But now here’s hope. Chart-storming British pop chanteuse Florence and The Machine admits to a night on the tiles. It didn't involve expensive cars and drug abuse but a couple of Martinis and .... a cinnamon tea light!

The “Ceremonial” star explains how she set fire to her hotel room after a heavy night out with Rap superstar Kanye West and Swedish singer/songwriter Lykke Li.

"I think I must have had about 17 Dirty Martinis. I lost my phone and ripped my dress very badly. I accidentally set fire to The Bowery Hotel because I'd left a cinnamon tea light burning.” explains Florence Welsh. “I came back to the hotel, passed out in my ripped dress - no phone, chipped tooth - came round and there was black stuff all over the wall, my book had melted on the bedside table and there was a bucket of water on the floor. Actually the last scene you want to wake up to with a hangover. Half the room was singed."

To be continued …
Florence and The Machine are set to hit the road in March for a series of arena shows. It is probably a safe idea not to hang outside Florence and The Machine’s hotel when she hits the road in March but you should not miss her live in concert!
