Beady Eye To Play Oasis Songs
14 Mar 2012
Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye have revealed the band will slip Oasis tracks into their summer setlists.
Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye released their acclaimed “Different Gear, Still Speeding” album last year and performed sold-out shows, completely ignoring the band members previous band’s backcatalogue.
It was a strong statement the band sent out. Liam Gallagher and his band mates showed they believed in their new material but have now come to accept that their fans, largely made up of the Oasis fraternity, would add some of the Britpop icons classics.
With his usual arrogance, the Beady Eye frontman and recent winner of XFM’s “Greatest Frontman Of All Time” listener poll said: “We're doing Fuji Festival in Japan, which is in July. And we will be dropping Oasis songs for anyone who's bothered.”
Beady Eye are set to play dates in the Far-East and believed to return for more shows in Europe later in the year.
