Temper Trap Premiers New Album On Spotify
16 Mar 2012
The Temper Trap has chosen pioneering music-sharing service Spotify to launch their new album.
We here love Spotify and Australian band, The Tempter Trap seem so, too.
Temper Trap fans and Spotify users will get the chance to check out the band's new album before anyone else. The Aussie band’s new album, the follow-up to 2009’s “Conditions” is to be released globally in May 2012 and Spotify’s premium members have the chance to hear the new album first.
Spotify will make the new tracks one-by-one available for free on its popular music sharing platform. Fans will be notified when a new tracks get up on Spotify.
With this bold move, The Temper Trap is going against the trend of bands who bypass Spotify, fearing the free streaming would affect album sales.
Most famously, Coldplay avoided the inclusion of their last album Mylo Xyloto during the first few weeks of release.
The Temper Trap is taking their new album on tour with dates in the UK throughout May. Tickets to see The Temper Trap are now on sale on Ticketmaster’s GET ME IN! ticket market.
