Green Day To Induct Guns N Roses Into RnR Hall Of Fame
Green Day will be inducting Guns N’ Roses into the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame on April 14th.

The punk rock veterans will deliver the induction speech but it is highly unlikely that the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses will be performing at the ceremony.

Slash has been quoted that his former songwriting partner and G’n’R frontman, Axl Rose “hates his guts” and the pair haven’t spoken in years.

Ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum revealed in an interview with VH-1 Radio that the on-stage reunion was doomed when he heard founding G’n’R member Izzy Stradlin was not up for even attending the Rock And Roll Hall Of fame ceremony in the first place.

"(Slash) spoke to Izzy, and Izzy wasn't planning on coming.” Revealed the drummer. “So I think that was like, if Izzy's not going to come and it's not all the original guys, then it doesn't make sense."

Sorum hinted at a possible collaboration with Slash that night. The pair offered 60’s songwriting legend Donovan to join him live on stage.

"I might play drums with Donovan,” says Rockstar drummer “because I played with him one time before, and 'Hurdy Gurdy Man' was a song he recorded that John Bonham played drums on and Jimmy Page was the guitar player. I offered Donovan that me and Slash could play that maybe, but I haven’t heard back if he wants us to do it or not."

G’n’R fans might not get the original band members to kiss and make up this time but you can catch Axl Rose with the current Guns N’ Roses line-up on tour later this year, as well as see the Slash and his band play Download Festival this summer. The Guitar Hero will also be playing a Download Festival warm-up show in London at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo on June 6th 2012. Slash tickets for his London and Download Festival appearances are now available on Ticketmaster’s GET ME IN! ticket market. Get your tickets to see Slash and hear the Guns N’ Roses guitarist run through a set with material off his solo albums and songs he wrote with Velvet Revolver, Slash’s Snakepit, Alter Bridge and, of course, the legendary Guns N’ Roses!
