Westlife Get Ready To Say Farewell
17 May 2012
With just over one month of their UK Farwell Tour left, Westlife are getting ready to bid farewell to their fans and leave a legacy behind them.
With over 44 million album sales behind them, Shane, Mark, Nicky and Kian can be rest assured that they have achieved what very little boybands’ could only dream of – an evergreen popularity and great pop songs.
As part of their Farwell Tour, Westlife performed at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on the 14th May 2012. They sang 14 of their number one hits, starting with a showcase of sing-a-long power ballads, ‘What About Now’, ‘What Makes A Man’, ‘My Love’ and a more recent hit from their Gravity album, ‘Safe’.
The boys covered a number of their hits as well bringing the house down with an electrifying solo from Kian and Mark performing Queen’s ’Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The crescendo came when they sang ‘You Raise Me Up’ and the encore saw them return with the upbeat track ‘World Of Our Own’ and an emotional performance of ‘Flying Without Wings’.
Don’t miss the opportunity to say farewell to Westlife when they reach a city near you!
