Usher Announces Intimate London Show
23 May 2012
Usher has today announced a special intimate show at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo on 11th June 2012.
The show coincides with the release of his latest album to be released, ‘Looking 4 Myself’, which is an intimate and personal album dedicated to his suffering from the past two years.
Usher’s career started unbelievably 20 years ago when he was discovered on Star Search and since then he has sold over 43 million albums worldwide and his album Confessions (2004) went on to sell 10 million albums making him one of the top Billboard stars of the 2000s.
With his success over the years, Usher has taken on many philanthropic activities and has worked with young people to help them establish themselves as leaders with his New Look Foundation.
Usher’s newest album Looking 4 Myself focuses on the next chapter in his life. Usher went on to say "As a young artist, you live vicariously through others until you have your own experiences," he says. "Younger artists might have to go through just doing one thing, like how Picasso had his blue period. But as you grow older, you become able to articulate yourself better and know what works for you.
"So this album is not a monochromatic thing—certain songs were specifically intended to get certain things out, different tones and emotions. And as an artist, that brought out the best in me."
You can get tickets to see Usher when they become available on GET ME IN! Ticketmaster’s ticket market.
