Axl Rose Robbed After Paris Gig
06 Jun 2012
Guns n’ Roses have completed their UK live dates last week. As many would have expected the current tour was never going to be a straight-forward affair.
Continuing their history of late arrivals for their live shows, Guns n’ Roses let their fans wait often as late as 11pm before taking to the stage.
The final UK concert took place last Friday, 1st June at The O2 Arena in London and saw angry fans pelting the band with pint glasses and money. Axl Rose threatened numerous times to leave the stage. The scene is almost identical to last year’s tour. Emotions particularly ran high at the Guns n’ Roses concert in Dublin where Axl Rose pulled the show during the band’s first song after having arrived several hours late to the gig.
In addition, the band instructed their security at concerts to turn any fan away who would wear Guns n’ Roses t-shirts with the face of their former, estranged guitarist Slash printed on them. Fans were allowed back in after they would have removed the infuriating item.
Karma seems to have finally gotten hold of the diva-like G’n’R frontman. After the band’s concert at the Paris Bercy, jewelery worth over $200,000 belonging to Axl Rose was reported stolen at a private gathering.
Sources close to the band say the “November Rain” singer is fuming after the theft. French police is currently investigating the whereabouts of three gold and diamond necklaces belonging to Axl.
The current run of Axl’s sad real-life soap opera is far from complete with more European shows coming up. Stay tuned for more bizarre G’n’R news.
