Liam Gallagher Bigs Up The Stone Roses
Ex-Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has ‘bigged’ up fellow Manchester group The Stone Roses in the run-up to their massive comeback shows at Heaton Park, Manchester.

Speaking about seeing the newly reformed band in Barcelona at the 1900-capacity Razzmatazz venue, Liam Gallagher described seeing The Stone Roses: “It’s like Quadrophenia to me. It’s a different feeling; they are the best band in the world.

“I followed them around when I was 16 and 17 and they’ve made me feel great again.”

The Stone Roses are playing three big dates at Heaton Park: Friday June 29th June 2012, Saturday 30th June 2012 and Sunday 1st July 2012.

Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye, which consists of Liam and guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell, will be performing on the 30th June 2012 as support for The Stone Roses. Other artists on the bill are the legendary band The Wailers, UK rapper Professor Green and Paul Cook’( Sex Pistols) daughter, Hollie Cook who was in the band The Slits and collaborated with Stone Roses frontman, Ian Brown and Jamie T.
