Cheryl Scores UK 1 Single
18 Jun 2012
‘Call my Name’ is Cheryl Cole’s latest single and current #1 in the British Single Charts.
The Calvin Harris produced single is the first release by the former Girls Aloud star under her shortened name, ‘Cheryl’. Officially the fastest selling single of 2012 so far, ‘Call my Name’ has knocked Gary Barlow’s Jubilee song ‘Sing’ off the top spot.
The infectious Number One tune is taken off Cheryl’s third solo studio album ‘A Million Lights’. The album is the result of a number of collaborations of Cheryl with top producers and songwriters, such as Calvin Harris, Will.I.Am, Taio Cruz and Alex Da Kid amongst many others.
Cheryl is taking the new album on the road this autumn. The 9-date ‘A Million Lights’ tour is Cheryl’s first-ever full-length headline tour as solo performer and sees the 28-year old pop starlet kicking off proceedings at the Nottingham Arena on October 6th. Dates follow at The O2 in London, Glasgow SECC, Manchester Arena and other arenas before two massive homecoming concerts at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on October 16th & 17th bring Cheryl’s tour to a close.
