Missing Justin Bieber Believe Collaborations
11 Jul 2012
Justin Bieber's latest album Believe features several collaborations but many others that were rumoured prior to the album's release seem to have gone missing.
The new Justin Bieber Believe album is packed with stunning musical collaborations. His fans are stoked to see the superstar duetting with other top-class performers on tunes such as 'All Around the World (feat. Ludacris),' 'As Long As You Love Me (feat. Big Sean)' and 'Beauty and a Beat (feat. Nicki Minaj).'
But what happened to the other collaboratiuons that were mentioned? There was talk of Justin Bieber in the studio with artists as avried as Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, Taylor Swift and Kanye West was supposed to give Bieber some needed street-creds. So, where are these recordings and why didn't they make it on the final cut of the best-selling Believe album that Justin Bieber is taking soon live on the road for the Justin Bieber Believe Tour 2012/2013.
Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun talked to MTV News about what happened to those other collaborations.
Taylor Swift was hotly-tipped to be on the ne Believe album but Braun explains that there's another album the 'Never say Never' star is soon working on and the he might want to use the song for that album. "So, it just didn't make sense at this time," explains Scooter Braun "and the song they did just didn't make sense on this album." Confirming that the hard work is might see the light of day, Braun confirms: "It didn't go on Believe, because there's another record (Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift) want to work on."
Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine was also supposed to record music with Bieber but their busy schedules didn't allow studio time. "We talked with Adam Levine about doing stuff," remebers Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun. "And he wanted to, but with everything else, we could just never get the studio time in together."
Then there was the Kanye West collaboration which never materialised after Kanye West planned to 'make Bieber cool' – isn't he cool enough already?! Justin Bieber explains his feelings about the work with Kanye West: "Basically, he was just talking about going out of the box and doing things that are different," explains Justin Bieber. "And he's like, 'I want to just make you cool.' He wants to just basically do records that people wouldn't necessarily think I would do."
Cool or not cool, his millions of fans adore Justin Bieber for who he is and what he currently does. Believe, the album, is already one of the year's top-selling albums and the recently announced Justin Bieber Believe Tour and Justin Bieber tickets for it are selling like hot cakes.
