Blur To Play London 100 Club
20 Jul 2012
Blur have announced they will play an intimate Olympic Concert warm-up at London's legendary 100 Club on Oxford Street.
The Britpop veterans with music polymath Daman Albarn at the helm will test their setlist for the London Olympics closing concert amongst their hardcore fans.
The forthcoming Blur concerts are likley the last live appearances the band will play together for a very long time. The members of Blur have told their fans the band would not join fellow Britpopper Pulp and Suede and extend the comeback tour. After the massive Olympic Concert the members of Blur will continue pursuing individual projects. With the Blur guys this ranges from politics and cheesemaking to writing punk songs and Operas.
Damon Albarn's current project away from Blur is his second foray into the world of opera.
