The Rolling Stones Prepare For Secret Gigs
24 Oct 2012
All things looks set for The Rolling Stones big comeback on Sunday 25th November 2012 and Thursday 29th November 2012 at The O2 Arena, and Thursday 13th December 2012 and Saturday 15th December 2012 at The Prudential Center in New York, USA.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood are raring to go, with rehearsals taking place in Paris. Ronnie Wood has already let slip that the band hopes to play “little club gigs”. He went on to say the places would be “tiny, 200-300 people… places”.
Trying to keep the shows under wrap might be hard, so The Rolling Stones have hinted that they might be performing under the alias: “Cockroaches” for their secret gigs. The name has been used for years and years after their “Cockroaches” show in Toronto.
With thousands of Rolling Stones fans clambering to get their hands on the ‘golden tickets’, Keith Richards fueled rumours that more shows were to come:
"This band isn't going to wind up with four shows."
Michael Eavis has also been in talks with The Rolling Stones about booking the band for the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury next year so it looks like the “Cockroaches” have got a busy time head.
