In addition to her UK and Ireland dates, Lana Del Rey is also playing several dates across the European mainland; dates in Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels are already announced with more likely to follow.

The sultry-voiced pop sensation shot to fame in 2011 with the beautiful Video Games singles. The video clip to the single became a YouTube sensation, views spiraling viral across the net and by the time her debut Born to Die hit the retailers, Lana Del Rey had become both pop star, glamour goddess and a modern-day pop culture phenomenon.

Lana Del Rey started her music career under her real name Lizzy Grant, full name Elizabeth Woolridge Grant. She performed in jazz bars and released her independent debut Lana Del Rey aka Lizzy Grant in January 2010 to little to pretty much no attention.

With a new record label and management behind her, Lizzy Grant styled herself to her onstage alter ego Lana Del Rey. Not miles from onstage personas such as Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust or U2 Bono’s MacPhisto, the Born to Die star described herself as “self-styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra”.

Follow-up singles to Video Games off her #1 debut include Blue Jeans, Summertime Sadness, National Anthem and the title track of her album, Born to Die. Each single is accompanied by striking short films; from shaky vintage, cut-and-paste Super 8 films to Lana Del Rey singing on a throne surrounded by tigers, her videos are always hotly anticipated by her dedicated fans.

Her most recent releases are the cover of Blue Velvet that Lana Del Rey recorded for her first modeling job for high-street fashion brand H&M and her latest single, Ride.

Ever since her breakthrough, Lana Del Rey has split opinions amongst the music fans. But her fans and the rising success of Lana Del Rey keeps deafening her critics who have vehemently accused Lana Del Rey from selling-out to being fake. None of this seems to matter; her concerts keep selling out and Lana Del Rey’s forthcoming new album could be one of the most anticipated releases in 2013.

Don’t miss out seeing the incredible Lana Del Rey live! Lana Del Rey tickets for her forthcoming UK and Ireland dates go on sale Monday, November 5th 2012.
