One Direction Take The Crown Off Robbie Williams
20 Nov 2012
Robbie Williams Number 1 chart reign came to screeching a halt this week, after ‘the new kids on the block’, One Direction released their album and single, Take Me Home.

It could be seen as a funny ‘changing of the guards’ moments in pop land. One Direction landed a double whammy on Sunday. The boyband of the moment shot straight to #1 in both, the singles and album charts with “Take me Home”, while Robbie Williams got delegated with his album “Take The Crown”.
Robbie Williams certainly won’t mind too much. The part-time Take That star did exactly the same last Sunday, when his album Take The Crown and the single Candy both shot straight to the pole positions of the UK singles and album charts. Robbie Williams is enjoying a remarkable comeback with his infectious late-summer single Candy blasting out from every radio and iPod and enjoying a good few weeks at the #1 spot. And Candy is just the first wave of more off Robbie Williams’ comeback album Take The Crown. Many believe 2013 could be Robbie Williams’ big year.
